Time Management and Motivation

Your Motivation Hour

Time management and motivation are two sides of the success coin. They are inseparable. Together they create something of great value.

When you lose control of your time you will lose motivation. If you feel unmotivated look at how you are spending your time. There will be a close correlation between these two aspects of daily life.

Only you can manage your time. Find one hour that you can have to yourself. Let everyone know that this is your hour and you need to be left alone. Have a watch or clock available to make optimal use of these 60 minutes.

Here is your plan to spend 60 minutes that will help you regain your motivation and control of your time.

Time Management and Motivation Tips
Your Motivation Hour
  • Take an hour. Set aside an hour to stop, sit, and think. We live fast, hectic lives and rarely take time to look at how we are living our lives.

  • Spend the first 5 minutes of this hour doing nothing but sitting quietly.During these 5 minutes gain an appreciation for how time passes one second at a time.Concentrate on relaxing your mind and body.

  • Spend the next 10 minutes thinking about all the responsibilities you have each day. Write these down. Write down the big things and the small things. When you finish, look at this list and gain an appreciation for all that you do.

  • Spend the next 5 minutes thinking about time-wasters. What are the things that you do that could be left off your schedule? These are different for everyone. Only you know what is and isn’t important for you.

  • Spend the next 10 minutes thinking about what is most important to you? Write down the people and activities that are of utmost importance to you.

  • Spend the next 10 minutes writing down your definition of success. This is unique to you. This is your definition of success.

  • Spend the next 10 minutes writing down the changes you need to make in how you spend your time if you are to be successful. Look at the previous lists you have made in order to identify these changes. Be as specific as possible.

  • Spend the last 10 minutes relaxing and picturing yourself spending time as you have just written down in order to be successful.

Time management and motivation are easy to lose. We really do need to make a strong effort to evaluate them frequently.

Your Motivation Hour will bring noticeable results in your life and help keep you on track to be successful.
