There are all kinds of abs machines, fat-burners, gimmicks, and gadgets to help you get six-pack abs. All of these myths and deceptions lead to no results and a great deal of frustration. Many people have given up after trying one or more of these popular fads. You need to be cautious if the product or program you are considering includes any of the following: - Losing more than 1-2 pounds per week.
- Severe reduction in calories per day.
- Elimination of one of the food groups such as carbohydrates, protein, or fat; you need all three of these.
- Special supplement that allows you to eat whatever you want.
- Eating particular foods that will burn fat.
Losing belly fat is not complicated. Getting rid of belly fat is not easy but it really is a simple matter. Two words sum up what is necessary to lose fat and get flat abs: calorie deficit. A calorie deficit is simply using more calories than you consume. Fat is stored energy. This energy is stored in cells called adipocytes. When you consume more energy (calories) than your body needs, this energy gets stored as fat. This storage process will continue until your body needs it. Once your body needs this energy, the adipocytes will release its stored fat. How do you create a calorie deficit? There are two ways to accomplish this: consume less energy (calories) and/or burn more energy (calories). The best plan to reach your goal of having flat abs would include both of these. You should incorporate moderate calorie reductions and moderate exercise.
Doing this over a period of time will lead to the results you desire. Losing belly fat is not isolated. You cannot isolate your fat loss to your abdominal area.
