  • Hold a fixed part of the machine when you first step on the pedals.

  • Start pedaling slowly and increase the resistance at a comfortable rate.

  • Don’t overdo it the first time. You are using different muscles. Even if you are a jogger you might be a little sore the next day. 10 minutes may be adequate the first day.

  • Increasing the incline will increase the intensity of your workout. You may have to decrease the resistance when you do this.

  • Don’t hunch over the machine. Stand up straight.
